Opposition spreading false propaganda against Dalit Bandhu: Jeevan Reddy
The TRS legislator slammed TPCC president A Revanth Reddy, BJP State president Bandi Sanjay Kumar and BJP MP D Arvind for resorting to petty politics and false propaganda.
Hyderabad: TRS MLA and Telangana State Assembly Public Undertakings Committee Chairman A Jeevan Reddy came down heavily on the opposition parties for spreading false propaganda against implementation of Telangana Dalit Bandhu scheme. He felt the opposition leaders were fearing for their political survival as effective implementation of the scheme over the next two-three years, will force them to put up ‘To-Let’ boards in front of the Congress and the BJP offices in the State.
Speaking to mediapersons at the TRS Legislative Party office here on Tuesday, Jeevan Reddy said the Dalit Bandhu scheme would set an example for the entire world as about Rs 1.7 lakh crore will be released for empowerment of 17 lakh Dalit families in the State. “The Chief Minister is known for his intellect and in-depth exercise before implementing a scheme and Telangana Dalit Bandhu is no exception. We will provide funds for Dalit Bandhu, just like funds being released for Rythu Bandhu,” he said. He predicted that with the implementation of the scheme over the next two years, pressure would be mounted even on the Central government to implement such scheme across the country. He dared the Congress and the BJP leaders to implement the Dalit Bandhu scheme in the States ruled by them.
The TRS legislator slammed TPCC president A Revanth Reddy, BJP State president Bandi Sanjay Kumar and BJP MP D Arvind for resorting to petty politics and false propaganda. He termed the TPCC president as a commission agent of TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu, in the Congress. He reminded that Revanth Reddy as TDP leader termed construction of Pranahitha Chevella project by the then Y S Rajasekhara Reddy government under ‘Jala Yagnam’ programme, as ‘Dhana Yagnam’. He stated that decades of injustice meted out to people of Telangana by the previous governments, cannot be reversed within a few years.
Jeevan Reddy termed the ‘Applications Movement’ initiated by Bandi Sanjay Kumar as a joke and recalled how the latter fell flat on his face and became a laughing stock during GHMC elections. Sanjay who promised to compensate for vehicles submerged during Hyderabad floods, took a U-turn and stated that he would only get the insurance amount for the vehicles. The TRS MLA advised Sanjay to first collect applications from people of Telangana for the promises made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He warned Nizamabad MP Arvind against inciting religious hatred and said that the day was not far when Arvind would be given a dressing down at Ambedkar Junction in Nizamabad.
