Organs of brain dead man from Nalgonda donated under Jeevandan
The deceased farmer’s wife Rukamma gave consent to donate his liver, 2 kidneys, and 2 corneas, overall 5 organs, to the needy patients under Jeevandan organ donation program
Hyderabad: Relatives of a 62-year-old farmer Bantu Anjaiah from Manikyalagudem, Kattangur (M), Nalgonda, who was declared as brain dead by the attending team of doctors, have decided to donate the organs of the deceased under State-run Jeevandan initiative for needy patients.
In the early hours of January 14, Bantu Anjaiah, while riding his bicycle collided with an unknown vehicle and received grievous injuries. He was immediately shifted to a hospital, where he was declared as brain dead on January 22.
The deceased farmer’s wife Rukamma gave consent to donate his liver, 2 kidneys, and 2 corneas, overall 5 organs, to the needy patients under Jeevandan organ donation program.
On the occasion, the Jeevandan extended gratitude to the family members of the brain dead farmer who decided to donate his organs for a noble cause.
