Osmania University announces PhD category-I admissions
Osmania University has announced the PhD Category-I admission notification for the academic year 2026, inviting online applications from candidates holding JRF qualifications in national-level tests.
Hyderabad: Osmania University on Friday released the PhD category-I admission notification for the academic year 2026. Online applications have been invited from eligible candidates across various faculties who have qualified and been awarded the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in national-level tests such as UGC, CSIR, ICMR, ICAR, DBT, INSPIRE, NFSC, and NFST.
OU Vice Chancellor Prof. Kumar Molugaram said that, moving forward, the PhD notification will be released every academic year. This initiative is designed to streamline the academic calendar and ensure a predictable, transparent schedule for aspiring researchers.
Prof. Molugaram emphasized that the university administration is committed to fostering a culture of rigorous research and maintaining the university’s status as a premier hub for innovation.
Online registration commences on May 20, with the last date for submission of applications being June 10. The interview will tentatively begin on June 18. A detailed information brochure and PhD guidelines will be hosted on the university websites www.osmania.ac.in and www.ouadmissions.com from May 20.
