Osmania University holds 188th Executive Council meeting in Hyderabad

Osmania University held its 188th Executive Council meeting with newly appointed members, chaired by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Kumar Molugaram. The meeting focused on institutional growth, governance reforms and academic excellence, with participation from senior academicians and education officials.

Hyderabad: Osmania University conducted its 188th Executive Council meeting, with new members who were recently appointed, here on Saturday. The Council engaged in deliberations over various agenda items, focusing on the university’s growth and the implementation of forward-thinking educational policies.

OU Vice-Chancellor Prof Kumar Molugaram, who chaired the meeting, felicitated the new members and lauded Education department secretary Dr Yogita Rana and Commissioner of Technical and Collegiate Education A Sridevasena for their support in navigating the university’s administrative milestones.


“Today’s meeting is more than a procedural gathering; it is the start of a collaborative journey to elevate Osmania University’s legacy. With the guidance of this diverse and esteemed Council, we are committed to transparent, impactful governance that prioritises our students and academic standards,” said Prof Molugaram.

Prof P Ushasri, OUCE Department of Mechanical Engineering, Prof M Vijjulatha, OUCS principal, Thumuluri Srilakshmi, Principal Government Degree College Golconda, Dr B Sujatha Naik of OUCE, Dr J Neeraja, Department of Telugu, Government City College, Hyderabad, Dr B Madhusudhan Reddy, Educationist and Advocate, Prof Narri Yadaiah, former TGPSC member & former JNTU registrar, Dr Suram Raveender Reddy, Prof of Chemistry (retired) LB College, Warangal and Prof G Gopal Reddy, former professor of Political Science, OU, among others also participated in the meeting.
