Osmania University hosts international conference on AI in english language teaching
A two-day international conference at Osmania University explored the role of Artificial Intelligence in English language teaching and research. The event featured 88 paper presentations from scholars across nine states and highlighted AI-assisted learning, digital pedagogy, literature and global employability.

Hyderabad: The two-day international conference on “Reimagining English Language Teaching in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: Bridging Language, Literature, Technology, and Global Employability” concluded at Osmania University (OU). The conference discussed the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence in English Language Teaching and research.
Speaking on the occasion, OSD to OU Vice Chancellor, Prof S Jithender Kumar Naik said conferences on AI are generally conducted by engineering, technology, and science departments, but a conference on integrating language and AI conducted by the Department of English is unique, contemporary, and the need of the hour.
The conference saw 88 paper presentations, including 28 outstation presenters representing nine different States across India. The parallel sessions showcased interdisciplinary research addressing AI-assisted language teaching, literature, translation studies, teacher education, assessment practices, digital pedagogy, multilingual classrooms, cultural studies, gender studies, and emerging technologies in education.
