OU Registrar Prof. G Naresh Reddy said Tej was a diligent student who secured his seat through lateral entry from a polytechnic background. He also said there were no pending issues concerning his academic performance or attendance.

OU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Kumar Molugaram urged students to prioritize developing their adversity quotient—the inner strength to face and overcome challenges.

“Death is emphatically not a solution to problems in life. We implore students to seek help and learn constructive ways to address difficulties,” he added.
