Hyderabad: Osmania University has on Wednesday refuted reports that were being circulated saying that Vice Chancellor Prof. D Ravinder was under the security cover of bouncers.
In a statement, the University clarified that as the term of the existing security agency would end by this month, the varsity administration had decided to engage the security guard services of ‘B Secure Security & Services’ agency which provides the services of ex-servicemen from army, police and paramilitary forces.
As a strategy of knowledge transition from existing security services, the fresh agency has drafted its personnel in advance to understand the university circumstances and dynamics, it added.
