Hyderabad: Osmania University Technology Business Incubator (OTBI) has unveiled a pioneering QR Code-based navigation system designed to guide users seamlessly to over 400 key locations within the university campus.
Developed by OU students under the guidance of Prof. T. Harinarayana, Advisor, and Prof. E.Vidyasagar, Director of OTBI, this innovative system is based on the TH-Code concept and enables students, faculty, visitors, and staff to effortlessly locate departments, offices, and other important places by simply scanning a QR code.
The QR code was formally released for public use in a recent event and OTBI continues to enhance the platform with additional features such as voice guidance and contextual information to further enrich user experience.
Another project in the pipeline is to digitalize 100 villages of Telangana which will be a game changer to all these villages as the visitors can navigate to different locations within the village more easily and may likely improve the E-commerce scenario for the benefit of the villagers.
