Osmania University to award 640 PhDs, 71 gold medals at 85th convocation

Osmania University will hold its 85th convocation on September 8, awarding 640 PhDs and 71 gold medals. Governor and OU Chancellor Shiv Pratap Shukla will attend, while Bharat Biotech Chairman Krishna M Ella will deliver the convocation address.

Hyderabad: A staggering 640 PhDs across various departments under 12 faculties and 71 gold medals will be awarded during the 85th Osmania University convocation, which is scheduled for September 8.

Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, OU Vice Chancellor Prof Kumar Molugaram said Governor and OU Chancellor Shiv Pratap Shukla will take part in the ceremony. Dr Krishna M Ella, Founder and Chairman of Bharat Biotech, will deliver the convocation address. Prof Molugaram said dedicated seating arrangements were being made for degree recipients and gold medalists.

High-resolution official photographs will also be made available on the official Osmania University website following the event, officials said.
