Osmania University UG results delay hit Telangana law admissions

Osmania University’s delay in releasing undergraduate results has disrupted law admissions in Telangana, forcing authorities to revise the TS LAWCET 2026 schedule twice within 10 days. Officials will temporarily accept online marksheets, but students must submit original certificates later.

Hyderabad: The delay by the Osmania University (OU) in announcing the undergraduate examination results has hit the law admissions for the academic year 2026-27 in the State.

Due to non-availability of degree marks memos, which is one among several mandatory documents that are to be uploaded for admissions, the Telangana Law Common Entrance Test (TG LAWCET) 2026 schedule has been revised for the second consecutive time in the last 10 days.

As per the first Telangana Law Common Entrance Test (TG LAWCET) 2026 schedule, registration and uploading of certificates for online verification for admissions to the three-year law degree course was scheduled between July 5 and 10.

However, due to non-availability of the degree certificate before the deadline of July 10, the registrations were first extended to July 20. This decision was taken as the OU had assured to release the results by July 15.

Even as the revised registration deadline approached, the University failed to release the results. This forced officials to extend the registration and certificate-uploading process for the second time till July 28.

“Delay in results declaration by the Osmania University has led to rescheduling of the law schedule once again. We will accept internet (online) marks memos for provisional seat allotment. However, students must submit all original certificates, including degree certificate and TC, at colleges concerned for verification after allotment,” said a senior official.

As per the second revised schedule, the TG LAWCET 2026 qualified candidates can register up to July 28. Web options will be available between July 28 and 31, and they can be edited on August 1.

A list of provisionally selected candidates will be released on August 5. Candidates who receive provisional seat allotment orders have to report the respective colleges, along with all original certificates for verification between August 6 and 10.

The revised schedule is also applicable to students seeking admissions to five-year law degree courses.
