Hyderabad: Osmania University Vice-Chancellor Prof D Ravinder has urged the staff to plant a sapling and voluntarily donate Rs 1,000 each to nurture them.

The Vice-Chancellor inaugurated one-week Haritha Haram programme near the Arts College here on Saturday. He planted a sapling and called upon all the teaching, non-teaching staff and students to participate in the programme to restore and improve the greenery on the campus.


OU Registrar Prof P Laxminarayan, OSD to V-C Prof Reddynaik, Arts College principal Prof C Ganesh, Arts College Vice-Principal, Dr Anupama, and NSS coordinator Dr M Ramulu among other university officials took part in the plantation drive and contributed Rs 1,000 each.
