Osmania University Zoology alumni celebrate 25-year reunion on campus
Alumni of Osmania University's Department of Zoology from the 1999–2001 batch reunited on campus to celebrate 25 years since their student days. The gathering featured nostalgic interactions, shared memories and a special felicitation of professors who mentored the batch.
Hyderabad: Nostalgia filled the air as the Osmania University Zoology Department alumni of the 1999–2001 batch came together for a reunion, marking 25 years of their student days, on the university campus here on Saturday. The former classmates gathered to relive cherished memories, reconnect with old friends, and celebrate their shared journey.
The former department students exchanged life experiences and reminisced about their memorable days at the university. Participants said such reunions help strengthen lifelong friendships and foster a sense of belonging among former students.
A highlight of the gathering was the felicitation of the professors who had guided and mentored the batch during their academic years. The alumni honored their teachers with shawls and mementos as a token of gratitude and respect.
Speaking on the occasion, professors expressed their happiness at being remembered and honoured by their former students. They described the gesture as a memorable and emotional experience.
The faculty members present at the event included Prof G Maruthi Ram, Prof K Rudramma Devi, Prof S Sabitha Raja, Prof S Jitendar Kumar Naik, Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the Vice Chancellor, Prof B Reddy Naik, Head of the Department of Zoology, Prof A V Rajashekhar, Chairman, Board of Studies, and Prof C Srinivasulu.
