OU inter-college chess: St Ann’s College top women’s championship

Hyderabad: St Ann’s College for Women, Mehdipatnam, emerged champions with 19 points in the Osmania University inter-college chess championship for women here on Wednesday.

Kasturba Gandhi College finished second with 14.5 points, while Villa Marie College were third with 13 points.

Government Degree College for Women, Begumpet, finished fourth.

Prof K Deepla, Director, Department of Physical Education and Secretary, Board of Control, Inter-University Tournaments, Osmania University, Hyderabad, along with International Arbiter Maj Shiva Prasad and Y Ramya Sri, organising secretary, gave away the prizes.
