Hyderabad: Mild tension prevailed at Osmania University as the “Marwadi Go Back” protests intensified, with Telangana bandh on Friday, prompting police to arrest some university students.
OU JAC Chairman Kothapalli Tirupati, who had given a bandh call, was arrested by police on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday.
Several student activists condemned the arrest, terming it illegal, and demanded immediate release of Tirupati and other activists, including Venugopal.
