OU men’s team in quarters of Inter-University Tennis Championship

Hyderabad: Osmania University men’s tennis team reached the quarterfinals defeating Bangalore University 3-0 in the South Zone Inter-University Tennis Championship, at the SRM University in Chennai on Tuesday.

Captain Sai Karteek Reddy led the team from the front recording twin victories. He first defeated Nishith Naveen 9-3 in the singles.

He then partnered with Suhith in the doubles to down the pair of Ninaad Ravi and Arya Aditha Raj 9-3. In the reverse singles, Suhith got the better of Arya Aditha 9-5 to pocket the tie.

Earlier, OU defeated MGU, Kottayam 3-0 in the second round after getting a walkover in the first round.
