OU professor suffers brain stroke while presenting university budget

A senior Osmania University professor Dr. Ch Sailu, Dean Faculty of Pharmacy and senior professor of technology at OU College of Technology, suffered brain stroke while presenting the university budget

Hyderabad: A senior Osmania University (OU) professor suffered brain stroke while presenting the university budget at Academic Senate hall on the university campus here on Saturday.

A few minutes to the presentation, Dr. Ch Sailu, Dean Faculty of Pharmacy and senior professor of technology at OU College of Technology, felt uneasiness and said “something is wrong”.


Senior administrators and faculty members who were sitting in the front row rushed to the senior professor’s rescue and immediately rushed him to the hospital.

According to a senior university official, Dr. Sailu suffered a brain stroke and is undergoing treatment.

In the past, Dr. Sailu served as the Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) Member.

Later, the budget was presented by Prof. D Sreeramulu from the University College of Commerce and Business Management.
