Hyderabad: The members of Osmania University Students Joint Action Committee continued their demonstration against decision of the University management to ban protests on the campus.
On Saturday, a large number of students from the University squatted at the Arts College, demanding the circular’s withdrawal.
Terming the March 13 circular as undemocratic, protesters maintained that there is no place for unilateral and unjust decisions in Osmania University.
Swathi, a student from Sociology department said it was not right on the part of the University to trample upon their democratic right to protest. Students have the right to voice their concerns on genuine demands, including timely release of the scholarships and facilities, she said.
She called the circular undemocratic and demanded immediate revocation.
