OU to award 68 gold medals during annual convocation

Osmania University will confer 631 PhD degrees and award 68 gold medals during its 85th annual convocation on September 8. Vice Chancellor Prof Kumar Molugaram invited Governor and Chancellor Shiv Pratap Shukla to attend the ceremony at Lok Bhavan

Hyderabad: A total of 68 gold medals and 631 PhD degrees across various faculties will be conferred during the 85th annual convocation of Osmania University, scheduled for September 8.

OU Vice Chancellor Prof Kumar Molugaram called on Governor and OU Chancellor Shiv Pratap Shukla at Lok Bhavan here on Tuesday and invited him to take part in the convocation.

During the meeting, the Vice Chancellor briefed the Chancellor on the university’s recent academic, research and institutional achievements and apprised him of the progress of various initiatives undertaken by the varsity.

The Vice Chancellor informed the Chancellor that the university proposes to confer 631 PhD degrees across various faculties and award 68 gold medals to meritorious students in recognition of their academic achievements at the convocation.
