Our government’s ‘positive outlook’ replaced TMC’s ‘negativity’: Suvendu Adhikari

Rampurhat (WB): West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Saturday asserted that his government’s “positive outlook” has replaced the previous Trinamool Congress dispensation’s “negativity”.

Adhikari was speaking to reporters after offering obeisance at the Tarapith temple here in Birbhum district. “The previous government’s answer to every issue was no and our government’s mantra is yes. This government’s positive outlook has replaced TMC dispensation’s negativity,” the chief minister said.

Adhikari said that all necessary arrangements for observing ‘Kaushiki Amavasya’, the biggest annual festival at the Tarapith temple, will be made as devotees from across the state and the country, as well as from other nations, come to offer their obeisance on the occasion.

“This government was formed with the blessings of Maa Tara; so it will make sure all measures are taken for the ‘Kaushiki Amavasya’ festival,” he said.

The festival will be held on the intervening night of September 10 and September 11. The CM said the BJP government had earlier ensured proper arrangements for the ‘Shravani Mela’ and Rath Yatra celebrations.

During his visit to the temple in the morning, Adhikari offered ‘pushpanjali’ (floral libations) amid the chanting of hymns by priests at the popular shrine. Adhikari said Birbhum district, which is famous for Shantiniketan, the Tarapith temple and the traditional ‘Baul’ songs, will be developed in every way possible.
