Jagtial: Welfare Minister Koppula Eashwar said that as many as 1.33 lakh government jobs were filled after formation of Telangana State. Besides government jobs, 16 lakh jobs were also created by facilitating establishment of over 14,400 industries in the State.

The Minister participated in the awareness programme organised to the beneficiaries who got loans under SC annual plan 2018-19 here on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, Eashwar informed that 387 beneficiaries would be provided Rs 3.25 crore subsidy. Before formation of Telangana, only 20 per cent subsidy amount was provided to five to six persons in a mandal. However, the situation has changed after the formation of Telangana. The subsidy amount has been enhanced up to 80 per cent and thousands of youths have been provided loans after State formation.

Assuring to spend Rs 19,700 crore SC sub-plan funds for 2021-22, the Minister said approval was given for Rs 1,000 crore under CM Dalit Empowerment programme and process has been initiated for providing support to the beneficiaries. More people would benefit through these schemes. Informing to provide loans to women self-help groups, Minister appealed to the people to develop their financial condition by utilising the welfare schemes introduced by the government and take up self-employment.

Zilla Parishad Chaiperson Dava Vasanth, District Collector G Ravi and others participated in the programme.
