Over 1.9 lakh inoculated in Telangana on Saturday

Hyderabad: Government and private Covid vaccination centres have administered at least one dose of Covid vaccine to 1,93,372 individuals across Telangana in the last 24 hours, according to the latest bulletin from State health department. A total of 97,960 individuals were administered with the first dose while 95,412 persons received the second dose of the Covid vaccine on Saturday.

So far, since the launch of the Covid vaccination drive on January 16, a total of 1.86 crore individuals in Telangana have received at least one single dose of Covid vaccine. While 48,94,612 persons have been fully vaccinated and have received both their first and second dose of Covid vaccine, 1,37,20,941 persons have so far received the first dose of the vaccine.

Individuals above 45 years and those between 18 and 44 years of age, that forms the largest chunk among age groups to have received Covid vaccine in the State. A total of 91,68,863 persons over the age of 45 years have been vaccinated out of which 60,30,353 have received the first dose while 31,38,510 have received both the doses of Covid vaccine.

In the 18 to 44 year category, about 83,76,475 individuals have been vaccinated out of which 70,69,800 have received the first dose while 13,06,675 persons are fully vaccinated and have been administered with both the doses of the vaccine. As per the COWIN portal, so far, a total of 1,61,85,114 doses of Covid vaccine have been administered in the State.
