Warangal Urban: Over 1,000 nominations were filed for the Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) elections till Sunday, the last day for filing of nominations.

TRS leader and Former MP (Rajya Sabha) Gundu Sudharani filed her nomination for the 29th ward on Sunday. According to party sources, Sudharani will most likely be the mayoral candidate of the ruling party.

Candidates from BJP, Congress, CPI (U), MCPI (U), Janasena, TDP, ASFB, and Independent have filed the nominations. There are a total of 66 wards under the GWMC. While TRS, BJP, and Congress are contesting in all the 66 wards, the Janasena is contesting from 16 wards. The candidates are yet to receive the B Forms from their respective parties. Several aspirants from the TRS have filed the nominations expecting the B Forms.
