Over 10,000 motorists booked for wrong-side driving in Hyderabad
In a weeklong special drive, Hyderabad traffic police booked 10,652 motorists for wrong-side driving, a practice deemed both dangerous and disruptive. Additional Commissioner D. Joel Davis has urged citizens to follow traffic rules responsibly.
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad traffic police booked 10,652 persons for driving on the wrong-side during the first week of October.
D Joel Davis, Additional Commissioner (traffic) Hyderabad City Police said that the special drive was launched as wrong-side driving has become a dangerous practice.
“It is not only causing traffic congestion but also poses a serious threat to the safety of both the violator and the other road users,” said Joel Davis.
The traffic police will continue the special drive against wrong side driving and the officials urged the motorists to behave responsibly on the roads.
