Hyderabad: Over 200 protesters, including environmentalists and representatives from various NGOs, gathered near Indo-American Hospital on Sunday evening to protest against a huge green cover that vanished due to earth excavation works.
The group held an hour-long protest. Protesters carried placards and wore black attire symbolically as a mark of protest. They took part along the KBR Park pavements and raised slogans such as “We want KBR park and we don’t want flyovers’ and stop the indiscriminate tree felling.
Meanwhile, Ramani Mylavarapu, a performance artist and painter, organised a participatory performance by involving protesters. Youngsters, senior citizens and children on a large scale took part in the protest.
