Over 2,300 candidates graduate from IGNOU RC Hyderabad
Overall, 3,16,000 learners from across the country qualified for the award of degrees, diplomas and certificates programmes in the 38th convocation ceremony

Hyderabad: As many as 2,370 candidates graduated in various degree and diploma programmes from the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) Regional Centre, Hyderabad, during the 38th convocation ceremony organised here on Wednesday.

Delivering the convocation address, Union Minister for Education, Dharmendra Pradhan lauded the role played by IGNOU since its inception in making quality higher education accessible to all through the affordable open and distance mode. IGNOU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Uma Kanjilal presented a report that summed up the activities undertaken by the university, highlighting the major achievements by the varsity.
IGNOU senior regional director, Dr. K Ramesh presented the annual report of the IGNOU regional centre, Hyderabad, for the year 2024-2025, highlighting the major achievements of RC Hyderabad during the reporting year. Overall, 3,16,000 learners from across the country qualified for the award of degrees, diplomas and certificates programmes in the convocation.
Out of the total, 234 learners received their certificates from TGPSC Chairman Burra Venkatesham, who was chief guest for the ceremony.
