Hyderabad: In a major achievement, the Rachakonda police executed 2,847 non-bailable warrants which had been pending for the last two years.
Rachakonda Police Commissioner G Sudheer Babu said that 14 teams comprising sub-inspectors and four constables were constituted to apprehend the persons who were not attending the courts for trial.
The teams went to Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and other states in what Sudheer Babu described as one of the biggest professional achievements by Rachakonda police.
He said that a total of 2,847 warrants were executed within a span of 40 days, and the apprehended persons were produced before the court. He said executing the non-bailable warrants and apprehending the persons against whom NBWs are issued would help instil fear among criminal elements.
