Over 28K to appear for Inter first year exams in erstwhile Khammam

Khammam: As many as 28,595 students are going to be appearing for Intermediate first year examinations that to be held from October 25 to November 3 in erstwhile Khammam.
The district officials of Khammam and Kothagudem districts have been gearing up for making arrangements for conducting the examinations in a peaceful manner. Khammam District Collector, VP Gautham and Kothagudem District Collector, D Anudeep have recently held meetings with the officials of concerned departments to review the arrangements.
According to the Collector Gautham, a total of 17,738 Intermediate first year students would appear for the examination in Khammam at 76 centres set up across the district. He said the officials were told to visit the centre a day before the exam and check the facilities there.
Kothagudem Collector Anudeep informed that as many as 10,857 students would appear for the exam at 34 centres and at the district headquarters seven centres were set up for the purpose.
The officials concerned were directed to enforce Covid protocols in proper manner at the centres, to ensure uninterrupted power supply and to enforce Section 144 at the exam centres. RTC officials were told to run an adequate number of buses to help the students to reach their exam centres.
