Over 44k candidates to take Civil Services prelims in Hyderabad on May 24
Over 44,000 candidates will appear for the Civil Services Preliminary Examination in Hyderabad on Sunday across 100 centres. Authorities have announced strict security measures, including electronic jammers and frisking, while candidates are advised to arrive early and carry only essential items.

Hyderabad: As many as 44,209 candidates registered for the Civil Services preliminary examination scheduled to be held on Sunday at 100 centres in Hyderabad.
Paper I will be held from 9.30 am to 11.30 am and Paper II from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm. The gates of the examination centres will be closed 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination and candidates have been advised to reach centres before 9 am for the morning session and before 2 pm for the afternoon session. Candidates arriving late will not be permitted to enter centres.
“This year, as the Parliamentary Committee has observed that Paper II i.e., CSAT should be rationalised, it is expected that Paper II will be easier and consequently Paper I is expected to be tougher than the previous years,” said V Gopalakrishna, Director, Brain Tree
Meanwhile, Hyderabad Collector in-charge C Narayana Reddy said all arrangements have been put in place for smooth and transparent conduct of the examination at all centres.
Narayana Reddy instructed the police department to thoroughly frisk candidates before they enter into centres. He said no person without an identity card will be allowed into the examination centre and that unauthorised persons should not be present at the examination centres.
The Hyderabad Collector informed that jammers have been arranged at every centre. Under no circumstances will electronic devices, calculators, mobile phones, pagers, Bluetooth devices, pen drives, smartwatches, programmed devices, electronic gadgets, and electronic items be permitted inside the examination centres, he said.
Stating that no storage rooms will be arranged at the centres for safekeeping of belongings, he advised candidates not to carry bags, electronic goods, or any other items to the examination centres. Only pen, pencil, ID card, e-admit card, and photograph will be permitted inside the examination centre.
