Miryalaguda: In a major theft, over Rs 60 lakh in cash was stolen from a locker at Hotel Vaishnavi Grand in Miryalaguda on Friday night.

Police teams and dog squads were deployed by Nalgonda police following a complaint by the hotel management on Saturday. According to DSP Rajasekhar Raju, the hotel had been storing cash from business transactions in a locker on the first floor. Around 1 a.m, a masked individual broke into the hotel, forced open the doors of the room and the locker, and escaped with the cash.


The hotel authorities immediately reported the incident to the police. DSP Raju confirmed that special teams, including the clues team and dog squad, are investigating and have gathered evidence at the crime scene. CCTV footage revealed that a single individual carried out the theft.
