Overnight rains: Hyderabad wakes up to cold and gloomy morning
According to the Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSPDS), 78 automatic weather stations (AWS) in the city recorded a rainfall last night, with the highest being recorded at the AWS at Library Building
Hyderabad: The city woke up to an April morning that seemed more like an August morning, with a wet chill in the air and gloomy skies. The city experienced light to moderate rainfall Tuesday night, where almost all of the areas across the city saw some showers. Strong winds were also reported in some areas.
According to the Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSPDS), 78 automatic weather stations (AWS) in the city recorded a rainfall last night, with the highest being recorded at the AWS at Library Building, Rein Bazaar, which recorded 33.8 mm of rainfall last night with Malakpet coming next at 30.3 mm.
Apart from this, several other places recorded a rainfall of over 15 mm. The rains meant waterlogged roads, which the GHMC personnel worked hard to clear in the morning.
Tuesday night was also cool, with the minimum temperature recorded in the city being 20.8 degree Celsius, according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).
IMD forecasts similar weather conditions till April 17.
