Hyderabad: All India Majlis e Ittehadul Muslimeen president, Asaduddin Owaisi, on Monday launched a scathing attack on Trinamool Congress and the Congress party over the conditions of Muslims in West Bengal.
At a well-attended public meeting in West Bengal, Asaduddin Owaisi asked Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee as to where she was when Muslims faced difficulties and injustice was meted out to them.
He said establishing a strong political leadership was essential for Muslims in West Bengal to ensure they receive their rightful entitlements and justice.
The AIMIM party is contesting on 12 seats in West Bengal. It had initially forged an alliance with Janata Unnayan Party (JUP) headed by Humayun Kabir’s party. The alliance was later called off, after a video of the Janata Unnayan Party (JUP) founder alleging that he was working for BJP party went viral on social media platforms.
Several leaders of the AIMIM party from the city are heading to West Bengal to campaign for the party.
