Karimnagar: District Collector K Shashanka instructed Medical and Health Department officials to provide oxygen facility to each and every bed in Covid wards.
The Collector on Monday interacted with Additional Collector GV Shyamprasad Lal, District Medical and Health Officer Dr Sujatha, district headquarters hospital superintendent Dr Ratnamala and others through teleconference.
He discussed about Covid treatment, oxygen supply, Covid care centre management and other issues.
Shashanka instructed officials to arrange newly purchased 30 beds in the district hospital. He also instructed them to install the automatic machine which would help enhance tests in RTPCR lab.
He advised the department officials to recruit emergency staff such nurses and lab technicians to provide better services to corona patients.
Collector instructed RMO Dr Shouraiah to appoint ward-wise nodal officers to supervise the treatment being provided in the covid wards.
Informing that 20 oxygen cylinders were available in the corona center, he wanted the authorities to arrange oxygen to the needy patients. Advising the officials to enhance the number of cylinders, he said that it was necessary to maintain oxygen required for at least 48 hours in all government hospitals.
He directed the officials to make available an ambulance at covid center to drop recovered patients at their houses.
Shashanka further instructed authorities to give Remdesivir injections to the needy patients. Talking about vaccination, he said all the people above the age group of 45 years would be given a vaccine and advised to book a slot for it.
