Painter murdered by acquaintance with granite stone in Borabanda

A painter was allegedly murdered by his acquaintance at a labour adda in Borabanda after an argument on Sunday morning. The accused later attacked the victim with a granite stone while he slept. Police registered a case and formed three teams to trace him.

Hyderabad: A painter was murdered by his acquaintance at Borabanda in the city on Sunday.

According to the police, Khaleel, a resident of Borabanda, had come to the labour adda in search of work in the morning. At the place, an argument took place, between Khaleel and another labourer over some issue. However, the other people pacified the isolated them. “A few minutes later, when Khaleel, was asleep on the pavement, the killer came again to the spot, took a big granite stone and hurled on Khaleel multiple times leading to his death on the spot,” said Borabanda Inspector, M Surender.

On information, the police reached the spot and shifted the body for post-mortem examination to the mortuary. A case is registered and efforts started to identify and nab the killer. Three special teams are formed, added the Inspector.
