Hyderabad: Pakistan edged out Hong Kong China ‘B’ in a thriller to regain the team title at the World Cup of Snooker in Muscat on Sunday.

Led by the inimitable Muhammad Asif, Pakistan — who stunned fancied India ‘A’ in the semifinals — came good after being down 1-2 to pull off a 3-2 verdict, securing their third triumph in the 10th edition of the prestigious event.


Hong Kong China ‘B’, who shocked their ‘A’ team — the reigning champions — in the semifinals, crumbled under pressure with the finish line in sight.

Result (Final): Pakistan bt Hong Kong China ‘B’ 3-2
