Warangal Urban: Stating that TRS candidate for the Warangal, Khammam and Nalgonda graduate MLC constituency Palla Rajeshwar Reddy had gone back on his challenge for an open debate on job recruitment under the TRS regime, Yuva Telangana Party MLC candidate Gogula Rani Rudrama Reddy asked Rajeshwar Reddy to pull out of the contest.

She alleged that Rajeshwar Reddy and the State government were misleading graduate voters with false claims on job recruitment.

Addressing a press meet at the SDLCE building on the Kakatiya University (KU) campus here on Friday, Rani Rudrama said: “I accepted the challenge thrown by Palla Rajeshwar Reddy on job recruitment and asked him to come to the KU campus in Warangal to have an open debate. But he did not turn up. Moreover, I proved his statements wrong during a TV channel debate two months ago.”

Rani Rudrama, a former journalist, said: “How can the government keep harping that they have filled 1.31 lakh job vacancies when NPDCL artisans’ services have not been regularised. There has been no teacher recruitment in 11 universities in the State. There are no regular Vice-Chancellors for the varsities for the last two years. There is no PhD admission notification. While the total sanctioned teacher posts of the Kakatiya University (KU) are 405, only 106 permanent teachers are working now. The remaining are on contractual and other systems,” she said.

Referring to the Pay Revision Commission report, she said the PRC mentions about two lakh vacancies in government departments. “But the State government is not ready to fill these vacancies. Graduate voters must question the TRS leaders when they come to seek their votes in the MLC election,” she said, adding that she will file her nomination on February 22 in Nalgonda.
