The 72nd Republic Day was celebrated on January 26 virtually in all its solemnity and grandeur with great pomp and show at Pallavi International School, Gandipet. The event was hosted by Sparsh and Mujtaba of class IX.

The students took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of unity and brotherhood. The event began with the virtual screening of the hoisting of the Indian National Flag by the chief guest of the day Ashok Muttavarapu, Enforcement officer in Enforcement Directorate, Ministry of Finance, Govt. of India and school Principal Meetali Archit at the school campus followed by the National Anthem. The students saluted the National Flag and pledged themselves to uphold the honour and integrity, diversity and uniqueness that is “India”.

The school echoed with patriotic fervour as the children danced to the tunes of patriotism, enacted skits, sang patriotic songs, gave speeches on the importance of the day and the Constitution and preamble and even wore tri-coloured clothes to mark the occasion.

The highlight of the event was an interesting and informative tableau presentation of some of the most efficient administrative committees like ICAR, NCERT, NTO, NCRD, NMDC, CSIR and Ministry Of Women And Children Development. The aesthetic skills of students were showcased in form of art and craft and poster work on the theme.

The tiny tots displayed their innovative self through fancy dress and chanted the slogans of Jai Hind as they stepped into the collars of eminent political personalities.

The Chief Guest and Principal addressed the students and urged them to do their best and feel proud to be Indians. They urged the children to watch movies like Gandhi, Bhagat Singh and be motivated to lead a life of self-discipline and sacrifice.
