Pallavi Model School: Role of Indian scientists discussed
During the assembly, students presented the life and work of Sir C V Raman through a creative PowerPoint presentation.

The science of today is the technology of tomorrow – This statement was aptly brought forth at the special assembly by organised by the students of class VIII of Pallavi Model School, Bowenpally on the occasion of National Science Day.
National Science Day is celebrated every year to highlight the greatest achievement of the famous Indian Nobel Laureate Sir C V Raman, the discovery of the Raman Effect. During the assembly, students presented the life and work of Sir C V Raman through a creative PowerPoint presentation.
Various other Indian scientists and their contributions were also discussed. Students shared the theme for this year’s National Science Day ‘Future of STI: Impact on Education Skills and Work’ with their fellow mates.
The importance of developing scientific temper and kindling curiosity in their young minds was stressed upon. The assembly ended with a quote ‘Science knows no country, because knowledge belongs to humanity and is the torch which illuminates the world’.
