Pallavi Model School: Valiant Kargil War heroes remembered
The programme reminded participants of the sacrifices made by the Indian Army to ensure the country’s safety.

Pallavi Model School, Bowenpally, paid tribute to the Indian Army on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas. Kargil Vijay Diwas is commemorated every year on July 26 to observe India’s victory over Pakistan in the war of 1999 for the liberation of sections of the Kargil district in Ladakh.
The Kargil War was fought for more than 60 days and ended on July 26,1999. Students of classes XI and XII presented a dance performance and gave a PowerPoint presentation on the Kargil War. The presentation also highlighted the plight of the family members of the martyred heroes of the war.
The programme reminded participants of the sacrifices made by the Indian Army to ensure the country’s safety. Principal Shailaja Reddy shared her memories of the year 1999 and the situation that prevailed during the Kargil War. Vice-Principal Sindhu Jayaraj appreciated the students for their wonderful dance performance and presentation. The event concluded with the National Anthem.
