Khammam: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has provided a great opportunity to develop villages and towns across Telangana State with Palle and Pattana Pragathi programmes, Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar said on Thursday.
“All the residents in villages and towns should get invovled in the programmes, take advantage of the opportunity given to them and make it a success. Elected members must ensure planned implementation of the programmes and achieve development as planned,” he said.

Speaking at a meeting, the minister urged the people’s representatives to organise gram sabha by involving all concerned in every village to identify the local needs, take up works accordingly and complete them within next ten days.
Similarly, the villagers’ feedback has to be taken on the activities that have to be taken up. In particular, the authorities should visit dalit habitations and study the conditions there, identify their needs , plan and implement the works needed, Ajay Kumar noted.
Vaikunta Dhamas, dumping yards and Palle Prakriti Vanams have to be completed immediately if they are incomplete and the completed ones should be brought into use immediately, he said adding that much progress has been made with first phase Palle, Pattan Pragathi.
Each village now has a tractor, a water tanker, a dumping yard, a segregation shed, a nursery and a park. The decisions taken by the Chief Minister have such an impact that Telangana stands as a model for the country and other States were following Telangana.

Haritha Haram was the brainchild of Chandrashekhar Rao and it should be made a success by collective efforts. The Chief Minister might take up a surprise inspection to Khammam, hence the district should top the State in Palle Pragathi, the minister told the District Collector RV Karnan.
