Mulugu: Minister for Tribal, Women and Child Welfare Satyavathi Rathod has warned officials that they will have to face the music if they failed to deliver with regard to implementation of Palle Pragathi programme. “Errant and negligent staff and officials will be suspended,” she said, and asked the officials to make the 10-day programme a success.

Addressing officials at the Zilla Parishad and other meetings here on Tuesday, she said the forest area in the district had come down and asked the officials to revive the past glory by successfully implementing the Haritha Haram programme. “Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has sanctioned Vaikuntadhamams (cremation ground) for each village for people to perform the last rites of departed souls in a dignified manner,” she said and asked the officials to complete the works of Vaikuntadhamams without any shortcomings in the required facilities.

“The Chief Minister has allocated  special funds to Collector (Rs one crore), Rs 25 lakhs to Additional Collector and Minister (to me) Rs three crore to meet the expenditure of the Palle Pragathi programme,” the minister said, asking the officials to implement the programme without any chinks. “Mandal wise and village wise meetings on the implementation of the Palle Pragathi should be conducted on June 30 and launch the Palle Pragathi works from July 1 in a grand manner,” she directed.

Stating that the Chief Minister directed the officials to prepare the ‘health profile’ of each person in the district as a pilot project, she asked the officials to prepare the health profile foolproof. MP Maloth Kavitha, ZP Chairman Kusuma Jagadeesh, District Collector S Krishna Aditya and others attended the meetings.
