Panchayat secretary caught accepting Rs 8,000 bribe in Sangareddy
ACB officials arrested a panchayat secretary in Budhera village, Sangareddy, for allegedly accepting a ₹8,000 bribe in return for a house number and permit. She was caught red-handed in a trap and remanded to 14-day judicial custody
Sangareddy:Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials on Monday arrested a panchayat secretary while she was allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 8,000 at Budhera village in Munipally mandal.
The accused, Patlolla Nagalakshmi, reportedly demanded the bribe in exchange for issuing a new house number and granting permission to set up a vehicle servicing shed. Unable to meet the demand, the complainant approached ACB officials, who laid a trap and caught her red-handed.
She was produced before the ACB court in Hyderabad and remanded to 14 days of judicial custody.
