Panchayat Secretary in ACB net in Sangareddy
ACB sleuths nabbed Ilapur panchayat secretary Sachin Kumar for demanding a bribe of Rs 30,000 for issuing house number on Thursday.

Sangareddy: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths nabbed a panchayath secretary for demanding a bribe for issuing a house number at Ilapur gram panchayat in Ameenpur mandal on Thursday.
A woman Swarnalatha approached panchayat secretary Sachin Kumar seeking a house number for her under-construction house when he demanded Rs 30,000 bribe. After paying Rs 10,000 in first installment, Swarnalath’s husband Mallesh approached ACB officials unable to pay the remaining amount. Under their guidance, Mallesh invited him to a hotel on September 26 and struck a deal to pay Rs 15,000.
The entire episode was recorded with a video camera. Following the evidence, the ACB officials invited Sachin Ameenpur municipality and took him into custody after nearly eight hours of inquiry on Thursday.
Sachin was recently transferred from Ilapur and posted at Athmakur in Sadasivapet mandal. The searches were still on. Medak ACB DSP Sudarshan expected to give a detailed account soon after the searchers were over.
