Panchayat worker dies of electrocution while setting up flag post in Siddipet

A 32-year-old panchayat worker, Md Mohin Pasha, died of electrocution in Vechareni village, Siddipet, while installing an iron flag post for Independence Day celebrations. The post came in contact with 11 kV power lines, killing him instantly

Siddipet: Independence Day preparations turned tragic in Vechareni village of Cheriyal mandal on Thursday when a panchayat worker was electrocuted while installing a flag post at the panchayat office.

The victim, identified as Md Mohin Pasha (32), a father of three, was making arrangements for the 79th Independence Day celebrations when the incident occurred. According to locals, Pasha was erecting an iron flag post when it came into contact with 11 kV overhead power lines. He died on the spot.


A pall of gloom descended on the village as residents mourned the death of Pasha, who had served the panchayat for over a decade.
