Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly budget session witnessed pandemonium and walkout by the opposition Telugu Desam Party MLAs on the opening day here on Monday.
The TDP repeatedly tried to disrupt the Governor’s address and slogans ‘Governor Go Back for failure to protect the Constitution’ and tore the budget copies before staging the walkout midway through the speech. The house adjourned after the Governor’s address.
Later, after attending the Business Advisory Committee meeting chaired by Speaker Tammineni Seetaram, the Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy found fault with TDP leader K. Atchan Naidu for obstructing the Governor’s address. He advised Atchan Naidu to give respect to the Governor who was an elderly person.
The BAC meeting decided to continue the Assembly sessions till March 25. Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy will present the budget for the year 2022-23 on March 11.
