Panic at Secunderabad rly station after man seen dangling from bridge

Mild tension prevailed at Secunderabad railway station on Thursday after a man was seen hanging precariously from a foot overbridge, sparking panic among passengers.

Hyderabad: Mild tension prevailed at Secunderabad railway station on Thursday, when a man was seen dangerously hanging from a Foot over Bridge (FoB), leading to panic among passengers on the platform below.

In a video clip of the incident which is going viral on social media, passengers were heard shouting words of encouragement as the man appeared at risk of falling. A bystander on the bridge managed to pull him to safety before any mishap occurred.

The railway police immediately intervened and took the man, identified as K Rathnam, into custody. Preliminary inquiries revealed that he is mentally unsound, and officials said his behaviour was linked to his mental condition.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
