Panic in Shahalibanda over abandoned bag containing gold, documents
An abandoned bag sparked panic at Shahalibanda in Hyderabad’s old city on Wednesday. Police found gold ornaments and documents inside, but no explosives. It’s suspected the owner may have forgotten it while boarding a bus. Search is underway
Hyderabad: An abandoned bag created panic amongst the public at Shahalibanda in the Old City on Wednesday.
The locals grew suspicious over the abandoned bag, alerted the police. The Shahalibanda police reached the spot and, on checking it, found gold ornaments and some documents in it. It was only after the police confirmed no presence of any suspicious material that locals relaxed.
Police suspect someone could have forgotten it and hurriedly got into a bus. Efforts are on to trace the bag owner.
