Hyderabad: Park Place Technologies, a pure-play and post-warranty data centre maintenance organisation, recently opened its new facility in Hyderabad, marking its foray into India. The company offers solutions and services designed to streamline the monitoring and management of digital environments for enterprises. Mohammed Atif, business development director, India, Park Place Technologies shares with Telangana Today the company’s plans for Hyderabad and the growth potential it sees in the India market. Excerpts-
Hyderabad operations
Hyderabad is a rapidly growing region from the business perspective. Our internal evaluation showed us a huge boost in sales potential and the number of companies we will be able to serve. The local response in terms of end-to-end and channel sales has been instrumental in helping us contribute to the economies of scale and scope for Park Place Technologies worldwide. This in turn has aggregated quite a lot of new business for the company.
Advantage Hyderabad
Hyderabad keeps us close to our APAC Head Office. One of the reasons why global giants such as Google and Amazon have their important India offices in Hyderabad is that incentives and sales are smartly balanced with investments. The economical-environmental ecosystem offers a great value proposition. Hyderabad has a rich talent pool and is friendly to organisations. Currently, we cater to IT, manufacturing, hospitality, and healthcare. We also are trying to gain a strong foothold in BFSI and automotive.
Market potential
India’s storage market has been growing at a rapid clip, with All-Flash Arrays posting a 33.4 per cent year-on-year expansion in 2019. While growth might have slowed in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the IT industry remains on an upward trajectory. The question is—who is maintaining storage hardware throughout India’s digital landscape? Reliance on original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) for storage support represents a huge-missed opportunity for India’s business enterprises. Not only do hardware OEMs charge a premium price for their post-warranty coverage, but their support delivery structures also offer neither the flexibility nor the value of a third-party maintenance provider.
Team strength
We are a team of 250 skilled employees with globally backed support. Looking at the response from the market, we wish to enhance the technical support and hire more engineers on the team in the coming year to meet the requirements of our clients.
Digital processes
Our processes improve continuously based on a data-driven approach. We believe that every vertical has something valuable to offer if data is used as fuel for growth. In addition, our clients can opt for automation in our service offerings, which is predictive and designed to transform their overall experiences. With our new set of offerings, we are also looking into the possibility of enhancing internal/external digitalisation further.
