Paropakar 2026 in Hyderabad to raise funds for education through art

Hyderabad: Paropakar 2026: Art for Education, curated by Sushma Thota in association with Art Connect, will be held from August 15 to 16 at Spirit Connect, Jubilee Hills, transforming the gallery space into a meeting point of art, philanthropy, and education.

“When you take home a work from Paropakar, you are sending a child to school,” says Sushma Thota. The exhibition features artist-approved prints, serigraphs, etchings, ceramics, and select sculptures by iconic names including MF Husain, SH Raza, Akbar Padamsee, Krishen Khanna, Himmat Shah, Thota Vaikuntam and Seema Kohli.

Every artwork is available for acquisition, with 100% of the proceeds supporting the education of underprivileged children through Nachiketa Tapovan.

Beyond supporting the holistic education of children already enrolled at Nachiketa Tapovan, this year’s fundraising will contribute to a new facility at their Kodgal campus, including vocational training centres, science laboratories and a library.

The expansion is expected to benefit the 300 children currently studying, while creating opportunities for an estimated 3,000 to 4,000 children from surrounding villages in the years ahead.
