Hyderabad: Participative policing has enabled Hyderabad to be a peaceful city, observed Hyderabad Police Commissioner, Anjani Kumar.
Addressing 121 trainee civil servants on Metropolitan Policing at Dr. MCR HRD institute of Telangana on Thursday, he said,“when compared to similar cities across the globe, Hyderabad is an extremely peaceful city. Despite the religious sensitivities involved in mega events like Ganesh Chathurthi and Moharrum processions, the sync between police and organisation of these events contributed greatly to the city being peaceful.”
He also spoke at length on the effective utilisation of technology in all aspects of policing, including combating cybercrime and installation of CCTV cameras that contributed in increasing the satisfaction of people towards policing in the state from 12 per cent to 78 per cent.
Director General of the institute, Harpreet Singh, also attended the event.
