Kumram Bheem Asifabad/Adilabad: Parts of both Kumram Bheem Asifabad and Adilabad districts saw a dip in minimum temperatures on Tuesday.
Sirpur (U) mandal mandal headquarters in Kumram Bheem Asifabad district recorded the minimum temperature of 10.5 degrees Celsius, followed by Ginnedhari in Tiryani mandal witnessed the minimum temperature of 11.4 degrees C. Tiryani mandal centre experienced the minimum temperature of 11.7 degrees C, while Kerameri mandal headquarters registered the minimum temperature 13.3 degrees C. Other mandals had minimum temperatures around 15 degrees C.
Meanwhile, Bela mandal of Adilabad district saw the minimum temperature of 11.6 degrees C. Pochera village in Boath mandal recorded 11.8 degrees C. Gudihathnoor, Mavala, Bheempur, Neradigonda, Tamsi mandals experience the minimum temperatures anywhere between 12 degrees C and 13 degrees.
The freezing weather conditions forced people to remain indoors till 10 am. Elderly persons and children struggled to handle the cold weather. People warmed up their bodies using woollen sweaters and making bonfires with the help of timber logs. Fog enveloped national highways and roads in the two districts, causing inconvenience to motorists.
